The 2023 Citroën C5 X is to come to Australia in one highly-specced variant, the company has revealed today. The C5 X will be powered by a turbocharged 1.6-litre PureTech petrol engine capable of producing 133kW of power when paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Torque figures have not yet been quoted.

The C3 Aircross doesn’t feature sister brand Peugeot’s 'i-Cockpit' digital dials, but the cabin is still quite modern. The standard head-up display is more aesthetically pleasing than the dated digital speedo. Citroen claims a handy 6.6L/100km on the combined cycle and my week with the fizzy Frenchie included a trip over the hills and far away as well as a lot of suburban running. Premium paint - Experience green £650. We reckon this is the best colour for the Sportage. Experience Green has a touch of 1960s Aston Martin about it, which is a bit above the Kia’s pay grade, but it’s a hugely handsome shade. Works nicely with the optional black contrast roof, but to be honest it doesn’t really need it.
