According to Red Bull Advanced Technologies, “The hybrid Valkyrie is a collaborative project designed under the leadership of Adrian Newey by Red Bull Advanced Technologies and Aston Martin. Created as a genre-defining road-legal hypercar, it exists at the extreme edge of the performance envelope.”
One that must have been apparent from the moment the Valkyrie’s design brief pointed to road-legal tyres with acceptable wet weather properties having to deal with crushing downforce figures
The Valkyrie is likely to use a 7-speed automatic gearbox that’s designed and built by Ricardo. The British firm has experience that spans from motorsport to building engines for McLaren road cars.
The road-going Valkyrie hasn’t even charged into battle yet, but that hasn’t stopped Aston Martin from revealing this, the AMR Pro version. The 1100hp car is taking center stage at the company’s Geneva Motor Show stand. That headline figure comes care of a 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 and KERS-style system.
